Orange County Walkabout
Sometimes you just need to decompress, and Dawn and I were well overdue. So we took a five-day "walkabout" in Orange County in August 2007 to try and regain some perspective and relax. It was just what the doctor had ordered. Camera: Nikon D2Xs. -
Yosemite National Park
Dawn and I vacationed with her sister, Cindy, and brother-in-law, Ray, in Carmel and Yosemite National Park in July 2007. It was a lot of ground to cover in only six days, but we made the most of it. We stayed outside the park at Evergreen Lodge and hiked on the valley floor in Yosemite due to the limited time and the July heat. But we know we'll do it again. Maybe in a couple years. In May. Carmel and Pebble Beach
Dawn and I vacationed with her sister, Cindy, and brother-in-law, Ray, in Carmel and Yosemite National Park in July 2007. It was a lot of ground to cover in only six days, but we made the most of it. We stayed in Carmel at the Vagabond's Lodge, a B&B we've visited before, and toured Carmel and Pebble Beach. Cindy had been there with us a few years ago, but it was a first for Ray. We vowed to return another year, maybe in October. Camera: Nikon D2Xs. -
Laguna Beach '06
We celebrated our fifth anniversary in Laguna Beach and spent our time visiting old haunts and old friends. Laguna Beach is an entirely different experience in May; the crowds that spoil it for us during the summer months were conspicuously absent allowing us to relax and enjoy. We covered everything from Newport Beach to Dana Point including a day in Crystal Cove State Park and a full day on Balboa Island. Cameras: Nikon 8800 and Canon Digital Elph.
