Bring Him Home Santa
Dawn pointed me to this. She’d heard the song on one of our local country stations (I’d re-programmed the radio in her car) and told me I had to hear it. It was written and produced by The Song Trust (Rory Feek and Tim Johnson) and sung by a six-year-old in Nashville who says she doesn’t want to be famous. It’s a poignant reminder that there are still troops serving away from home and that they and their families are sacrificing much this Christmas.
You can purchase a copy of the song and know that half of all profits goes to St. Judes Children’s Hospital.

Oh God, Doug, that made me cry!
What a touching song!
Merry Christmas to our troops spending Christmas away from their loved ones. We miss you and love you all!
Me too!
God bless our troops!
That is a real tear jerker.
God bless our troops and have a very merry Christmas!
Heard this on county radio today. Perfect reminder this time of year that we are not all at home with our families. Some are away doing the work that must be done to protect our nation and our freedom.
My grandfather served, my father served, and I served 8 years in the Marines. I know what it is like to be child whose daddy is away at Christmas, and I know what it is like to be a daddy wishing he was home with his wife and kids.
Thank God for the American fighting man. And thank God for the families who understand and make the sacrifice at home. God bless you all.
It was on the alternative radio station I listen to which is odd since it is basically a country song, at least it was written by a country song writer. If you have or know a little girl around six, you can picture her singing this song and it will bring a tear or two to your eyes.
God bless our troops, and may they all have a merry Christmas and a speedy, safe return home.
It is a sad reality that our soldiers must be in harm's way during the Christmas holiday. Thank God we have man and women willing to do the work that must be done and to endure, along with their families, the sacrifice of separation at such a special time when we should all be together with our loved ones.
