Extreme Photoshop Makeover

Often without realizing it, we’ve all witnessed the sometimes amazing results of Photoshop and other photo retouching software. This is not for photographers. Photographers know that retouching is only for color adjustment/white balance, and retouching basic things, such as scars, but not reshaping the the body and facial features.

Why do they make us feel like there is something so wrong with the way we are originally?

Go for the subtle things first. Plus, while attempting to make her body look thinner, look more closely on how weight hangs on a more full figured person as compared to a thinner person. Definitely potential there, and some of the changes were very well done. Good for a class project.

Too much, doesn't look real. Photoshop is for retouching, not for recreating.

Why can't we just be happy the way we are? There is nothing wrong with good diet and exercise, a healthy life style, but obsessive desire to radically alter ourselves is destructive to ourselves and, because it further strengthens the stereotype, to others. It is sad.
