Sony Unveils Flexible Screen

Michael alerted me to this CBS news clip (Pardon the preceding ads):

Of course, the inconvenience of wearing Latex gloves to use it may prove problematic. But I’m sure the guys at Sony will work that out…

Oh that is too cool! You can carry a tv in your back pocket. We all need that now don't we.

I want one of these! It won't be damaged in my back pocket like my Nano was.

I can see a ton of good uses for this. If they figure out how to transmit the sound wirelessly to very tiny ear plugs, and can carry music and video libraries, they will have a back pocket iPod killer for sure!

Ben, I would expect Apple to be the company to first introduce a flat iPod using this technology. They clearly have the vision and the ability to ramp up such a product. And their relationship with Sony is pretty solid right now as well.

As for wireless, miniature ear buds to pair with it, that may be an even bigger hurdle.
