We don't see monarch butterflies like we used to. I don't know where they have all gone but when my wife and I see one, we consider it a lucky sign that things are looking up.
I read once that there is a place , I think it is in California, where the monarch butterflies return every year like the swallows return to Capistrano. That would be a wonderful thing to see.

This is lovely. Makes me want to get my camera and visit my own back yard.
We get some monarchs but now that you mention it, not as many as we used to. I wonder why?
