Hawkeye, the Scuba Diving Cat
Hiking buddy Karen Weise sent this video of “Hawkeye,” the scuba diving cat, that includes some dive buddy action with “Mutley,” the famous scuba diving dog who used to have his own TV show. Owner Gene Alba seems to have a knack for training his pets to enjoy the sport (I can’t actually tell if Hawkeye is having fun or just being pliable.) Hey Karen! Let’s teach “Longie” to do this!

That is so amazing! How do you think he got his cat to like water? Swimming in the pool even? My cats HATE water. The scuba thing though seems a little silly. He just pushes the box around. I suppose its cool because the cat seems relaxed and all. I remember the dog on his tv show, I think it was on Discovery.
Cute scuba-critters. Cats usually hate water so it is quite an accomplishment to get one to swim, let alone be calm under water.
