Clinton: "Iowa Doesn't Really Matter..."

Now that she’s lost Iowa, Hillary Clinton says the state “doesn’t really matter.” I wonder if Nebraskans will appreciate her newly minted “I’m really a down-home, cookie-baking mom” persona?

Her handlers thought it best that Bill stay away from Iowa. Didn’t help. I suspect now he’ll rush to her aid.

I wonder if Nebraska will “matter”…

LOL. I'm surprised she even went to Iowa. She couldn't have expected her rap to sell there. I wonder about Nebraska, though. If they choose her, it will be because they are casting a vote against the shyster lawyer and Osama Obama.

Oddly, McCain has a big following here. If he takes Nebraska, what does that mean for Hillary?

I have to believe that Clinton may have to declare Nebraska another "doesn't matter" state. The mud being slung against Obama is backfiring and Clinton is getting credit for launching it (she claims it is -- you guessed it -- an evil right wing conspiracy).

Speaking from the left side of the street...Hello there.

Although, frankly...I'm a devout Independent Republicat and firmly believe in the words of Will Rogers, who once said "Anyone who has what it takes to be President of the United States is missing something."

Now then..."can't we all just get along?"

Or in the words of Beethoven.."huh?"

I know she is a woman and I would love to think a woman could be president, but she is not the woman for the job. I actually would have voted for Rice if she had run. There was some talk but nothing ever happened. Maybe in 8 more years. But for some reason, the voters think they need Senators (lawyers) or Governors. We need to break that bad habit!

I'm afraid politics today has become for many little more than a bloody prize fight. For some, the ones you see in the news, it's become a "win at any expense" war. Sadly, the majority are so frustrated with how politics in this country has evolved, they've become apathetic. Not wanting to become a part of the dogfight, they choose to stay home and let the dogs slug it out.

Our politicians tell us that, "if" we want to make a difference, we need to adopt the very practices we find so repugnant and join the fight. That won't happen until we have a major rebellion. I know I won't be around to see it, but I hope it happens before our government is forever beyond repair.

I read this weekend that one of the Sacramento Bee's long time columnists is expatriating in April to Costa Rica. Says he can no longer tolerate American politics. I'm afraid his may be the best personal solution for many of us.
