Is This Any Way To Vote?
Teddy and several others sent this in response to this post…
Sadly, there’s a lot of truth in this ‘toon. Many voters are choosing candidates this way, perhaps more than in any previous election, or are what’s become known as “single issue voters” — they vote for whomever is aligned with their pet issue. Iraq and, before that, abortion are good examples. C’mon, people, we’re better than that!

I'm voting for Ralph Nader because he's green and I'm green.
I'm voting for Ralph Nader because Kermit is voting for him and I love Kermit.
I am voting for Nader because he's a geek and I'm a geek.
I am still undecided. I was hoping for a more fiscally conservative candidate. Huckabee is conservative but I can't see him leading the free world. It is going to be a difficult decision. I should vote for McCain, but there are directions I fear he would take that imho would be bad for the country overall. But there are no other candidates in the pack that wouldn't be worse. So I guess I'm leaning toward McCain because, despite differences on some big issues, he is the best qualified candidate.
(Sorry, I was at a loss for something funny to add.)
Party pooper!!
Looking at this and reading the comments, I'm reminded of something that Winston Churchill once said:
"The best argument against democracy is a five-minute
conversation with the average voter."
Still true today only perhaps more so. Scary, isn't it?
Why do you suppose the Angry Conservative is portrayed as a monkey?
I'm not voting for any of the major candidates because I don't like ANY of them!!
Media bias.
