Connie Talbot - Britain's Got Talent
Dawn and I enjoy watching “America’s Got Talent” and witnessing the birth of some amazing acts like Terry Fator and Bianca Ryan. Some of you may not be aware that the show is patterned after its counterpart, “Britain’s Got Talent”.
If you watched BGT last season, you’ll remember finalist Connie Talbot, the little six-year-old princess that captured everyone’s hearts with her version of Over the Rainbow. Following the competition, she recorded an album featuring some of her favorite songs. I’ve posted two, but you can hear more, including her new single, Three Little Birds, on Connie’s web site.
I have to admit that I’m a little disoriented; I’m talking about a recording artist, her album, her new single, her web site… and she’s only six!? But no matter; she’s definitely got talent!

OMG! She is precious!
I agree, and what a voice for such a little girl. It is a beautiful thing!
i think shes amazing but i really wish her mum would of made her wait till atleats teens.
let her have her childhood and not have to worry about Cds and recording ect ect if you get what i mean.
i agree. she's not really gonna get to live her childhood you know, like a normal child.
I don't want to rain on the parade, but the recordings on these two vids are from the studio produced CD. Studio recordings are enhanced in every possible way.
If you watch some of the other vids on YouTube of her, she sounds more like the sweet little girl she is but not like the studio altered sound that makes her seem older and more polished than she is at this point in her young life. With lessons and development, she will grow.
I am just saying that the sound quality you hear on these two vids isn't an accurate representation of her actual singing voice today.
Record studios can't make a singer sound great if they can't sing. Connie can sing and sounds like a little angel.
Sure they can. I give you Brittany Spears. Can't sing at all and definitely doesn't sound like what you hear on her CDs.
Well I listened to the videos of her on the tv show and she sounds great. Maybe the studio gave her a little richer sound, but she still is a n angel.
And I think she is having fun and not "missing her childhood". There is nothing wrong with her getting to experience something she loves just because most other children don't.
She seems to be a sweet little girl with a love for singing. Kudos to her parents for letting her explore the world of singing. Maybe she will like it, maybe she will grow tired of it. Maybe her voice with training will develop, maybe it won't. But for now, she gets to experience being a real singer and it looks like she is having fun. Personally, I don't like the fan hoopla. I watched her new video (the Bob Marley song) and hated the "production" of it. But she sang it well, I just thought they were making her act and that doesn't come natural to her.
Speaking of talent and a real singing voice, what became of Bianca Ryan after winning the $1 million?
Of course her voice sounds better when recorded in a recording studio. That is what the electronic mixer does, it corrects pitch, modulates, adds bass and fullness. All recording artists' CDs are produced this way.
A 6 year old child isn't expected to have the voice of a 12 year old. Still, for a little girl she has a sweet voice and her little girl innocence melts your heart.
She is absolutely adorable with an angelic voice! Thank you for posting the videos.
Sweetness and goodness meet technology. But she is still an angel and I am sure her parents are very proud of her.
She's actually 7 now.
Okay...??
It isn't about technology, it is about heart and innocence. It is beautiful. I get choked up every time I watch it.
Here is another little angel you might feature. 4-year-old Kaitlyn Maher last week at the New York auditions for America's Got Talent. (Have some tissues handy)

she is so sweet and can sing like an angel
4 year old Kaitlyn is cute as a bug, but it is too early to know if she will be a good singer. But Connie has some real promise. She didn't win the million, but she has a loyal following. She could become the next Miley Sirus, or she could become another Britney (I hope not).
