Most Popular Dilbert Ever?

According to the official Dilbert website, this is Scott Adams’ most popular Dilbert cartoon strip…ever. I’m not saying it should or shouldn’t be, but there have been some pretty great Dilbert strips over the years. This might have been the case during the go-go 80s when managers were ruthless, but in today’s more highly regulated, “we care” business environment, not so much. Anyway, I thought I’d put it out there to see what you think…

This is great, not unlike many others over the years, but it's actually a very current strip. I can't say for sure but I think at this moment in time it's my "best ever" fav. However, there have been many that I thought at the time were the "best ever" and will be more "best evers" in the future I am sure.

I can't point to the best Dilbert ever, but my favorite character ever is Bob the Dinosaur.

What makes Dilbert so popular is that both workers and managers relate. Workers see management as inept, greedy, self serving, while middle managers see themselves held back by senior management and senior managers see themselves portrayed as buffoons but believe it comes with the territory. Yet all must coexist in the work environment where Scott Adams makes fun of them all.

This strip is funny yet right on. An engineer rarely thinks like a manager, but in this strip, Dilbert's response shows he knows where his priorities must be if he is to succeed in management. In that respect, it probably is the best Dilbert ever.

I don't know if it is the best comic ever but it is right up there lol!

I never noticed it before but I think Scott Adams' Dilbert may have influenced the creators of "The Office". The parallels are obvious! I don't mean you can identify specific characters, but the overall corporate culture is the same.

I worked in aerospace for 21 years. Scott Adams was so spot on that my co-workers and I believed he worked for Boeing or Northrup or one of the others. How else could he know so much about what really goes on in those shops? Best cartoon strip ever? Impossible, they are all good!

I used to work for a PHB (Pointy-Haired Boss) that used to post PHB-related Dilbert strips on his office door. He didn't understand that they were about him. He thought they were hilarious. So did we.

The PHB strips are still my favorites.

I read somewhere (I think on his web site) that Scott Adams worked many years for a west coast telecommunications company as an engineer of some sort in a giant cube farm and that he gets his ideas from his fans. Then he waits until he gets two or three of the same or similar idea from different sources before he uses it.

I enjoy his comics (no opinion as to which is best) but I also read his blog. Great reading if you like his unusual brand of humor.

My favorite Dilbert character is the Human Resources cat, so my favorite comics are all the ones with him in them.

Yes, I am in Human Resources.

Very deep discussion. I just like the funny comic strips. (snort)

There have been many good ones over the years but I can't think of any now. But this one seems to reflect a general "theme" and is definitely one of the best I can recall.
