Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino - Get Off My Lawn!
Dawn and I just got back from seeing Clint Eastwood’s Gran Torino. Once again, the old man turned in both solid direction and an Oscar worthy performance. The film contains sufficient humor to take the edge off and delivers a good message about life, setting it apart from other revenge movies. We also chose to watch it in digital cinema format (no film!) which further enhanced our viewing experience. If DLP (Digital Projection) is offered at your theater, opt for it.

Digital wasn't offered here but now that I know what it is I will watch for it.

Great movie! It had limited release in December so now Clint will have two films this year in contention for Oscars!
We plan to go see it tomorrow. We'll have to wait and see what the "Wally" crack is all about. :))
If it isn't too crowded tomorrow, we want to see it. We went the day it opened and couldn't get in. A revenge movie with humor? That is hard to imagine with the old Dirty Harry character.
We saw it and really liked it. I think his son sings the song at the end.

Is Clint Eastwood really that old and feeble or is he just acting and makeup? He seems like he is going to keel over any minute.
Hey Ron, Clint is 78, so draw your own conclusions. And he's still making movies and acting. I wouldn't call that "old and feeble".

Pretty good movie but not great. Eastwood was good of course. He will get a nomination for sure.
I love that Gran Torino. Sweet!
I loved this movie!! And I liked learning something about the hmong people, a cultural lesson within.
