Let's hope the writer is right. But he fails to mention that the bill will put us at or above the point where government spending reaches 40+ percent of GDP, and that will put us on a par with European socialist countries. Someone said the other day, "We are all socialists now." They were right. Much further into socialism and we can start calling one another "Comrade".

Simple. Why didn't anybody think of this before? All we need to get out of debt is a big pile of more debt!

All that money going to big contributers in the hope they will spend it and somehow it will trickle down to the rest of us in the form of jobs and spending money. Fuzzy econ is what it is!

Funny, the article fails to mention all the pork still in the bill. It speaks in generalities describing the so cal;led intent but not specifics for most of the big money. You would think Harry Reid wrote the article.

The market was down nearly 300 points today. Wasn't the announcement that Congress passed the porkulus package and Obama planning to sign the damn thing supposed to make everybody's confidence soar knowing that Chairman Obama was at the wheel? Now the thing needs to do something besides line the pockets of Obama's biggest contributors.

We are in real trouble. People doubt this big spending of tax payer money will solve our problems. They think they will make them worse and there is nothing left to do,

They make it sound like a clean bill! "Here are some good things (in principle) for everybody." I don't see mention of the pork or the new health care bureaucracy. Liberal bias?

This guy Robert Reich is a nut job! His 1930s ideas are outdated since we became part of the global economy. They can't work now yet Obama has embraced them. This will go down in history as America's biggest blunder.

You have to wonder what school of economics Reich and Obama come from. You can't correct over spending (what got us here) by borrowing vastly more. Doesn't work with your credit card debt and it can't work here.

Stupid is as stupid does.
