Let me reiterate that this isn’t “flying” in the usual sense of the word. It’s more “controlled free falling.” They’re definitely going down. Fast! It’s insane, but can you imagine the rush?
Hint: For a better viewing experience, move your cursor off the video after beginning play.

I just found your site and love it! I'm on mandatory furlough today thanks to our Governator who doesn't get how unfair it is to cut State worker's income. This is so unfair!
I have watched this 3 times and all I can say is better them than me. Does anyone know what the death rate among guys in this sport is? It seems like it would be pretty high.

According to Wikipedia, between 1981 and 2008 there have been at least 124 fatalities related to the fringe extreme sport of basejumping.
There's also a detailed listing of basejumping-related deaths on this site. I haven't seen statistics specifically limited to wingsuit basejumping.

It seems like there is only a small number of people doing this, so 124 deaths is probly a high percentage of them. Pure craziness!!
Freaking awesome! If I were 20 years younger, I would really get off on this. Then I might be dead now so I am glad it wasn't around then :)
