Monday Punday - Elephant Stew

guy_buffet_01.jpg1 Elephant, Medium Size
2 Rabbits (Optional)
Salt & Pepper to taste
Brown Gravy

Cut elephant into small bite-sized pieces. This should take about two months.

Add enough brown gravy to cover.

Cook over a hot fire for about four weeks.

Recipe serves 3800. If more are expected, two rabbits may be added, but do this only if absolutely necessary as some people are offended if they find a hare in their stew.

You get a single "HA!" for that one.

I think I've heard that elephant stew is a real offering in parts of Africa. Are you aware of any real recipes?

African elephants are protected. I doubt you'll find recipes for cooking and eating them. NOTE: This is a joke, not a real meal preparation for large groups.

I don't know about the validity of the recipe or how they feel about it in Africa, but here's a link to another, more complex version, along with suggested alterations from a ton of readers:

Enjoy!
