SimulSays

SimulSays3Step.jpg

SimulScribe, the brilliant and simple voicemail service that transcribes your messages into an email, has just launched a new application that beats Apple to visual voicemail, at least in Beta. SimulSays, released today, is a downloadable application for your BlackBerry Pearl or 8800 that shows your transcribed messages and lets you play them back without having to dial in. Even better, you can easily reply to a voicemail using SMS or Email if the message is from someone in your address book.

Existing SimulScribe users can download SimulSays by pointing their mobile phone’s browser to mobile.simulscribe.com. If you’re not a customer, just go to simulsays.com to sign-up. If you’re not on the Pearl or 8800, don’t worry. SimulScribe plans to roll out SimulSays for other devices soon, starting with Windows Mobile in June.

Doug, the same features are available with Mobile Voice Control for Blackberry's. With several additional options that include voicescribing emails, calendar appointments, searching the web, looking up sports scores, weather, news...even movie times.
www.mobilevoicecontrol.com. I've used it for over a year now and it's wonderful!

I'm waiting to see how the iPhone actually works. Apple has a reputation for quality and they are controlling the build on the iPhone so I suspect it will be a well made device. But I haven't been able to find out ifit has voice dialing etc. Considering we're staring down the barrel of "hands free only" driving, that would be a must.

Blackberry in an interesting device. Half of those who have used it hate it, the other half (who have used it) love it. I find that confounding.

I think everyone is pretty fed up with this concept. Just as bad is how some banks (you know who you are) are hiring lots of women from India who speak English but with such an extreme accent you can't understand them. What up with that?
