ZOOMQUILT II - A Collaborative Art Project
The Zoomquilt II art collaboration was created using Flash (free download if you don’t already have it) and defies description. It appears to be 88 layers “quilted” together to help form the continuing zoom effect, and then looped. I found myself saying “Wow!” several times. The subject is a little grotesque and it’s a little long but the art form is impressive. Sit back and give it a watch. I won’t spoil the ending…

Wow, that was a ride! Very cool and well done. Must have taken them quite a while to make this. Impressive!
This is pretty gruesome, Doug. I agree the technique is something to see, but why so dark? Maybe they could have chosen a happier, lighter subject matter?
Very cool! Is there a Zoomquilt 1?
That was too weird. I had a feeling where it was going. Whoever drew all that is a pretty good artist.
Yes Roger, there was a Zoomquilt I although I've been unable to find it. But I understand this one is far better.
Okay, here's the link to Zoomquilt 1: http://www.zoomquilt.org/
Select "Flash". To zoom it, click & hold your mouse on the image, then move it up to start zooming in, down to zoom out.
I happen to like surrealism but it's not for everyone.
