Land Rover LRX's iPhone Integrated Concept Car

At the nexus of MacWorld and the Detoit Auto Show is the iPhone dock for the Land Rover LRX concept car. When docked, the iPhone would upload your music, seat settings, steering wheel settings, and all the information for the car’s “transfigurable displays,” even provide a secure “start” button. Now that is cool!! I could set a password to open my iPhone and get some added security. What is cool is that I have everything, my music, contacts, appointments, video, I can rent movies to watch, everything, and it all would pipe into my car. I suppose I could even watch the movie I rent on the screens in the car too. Very cool.

The iPhone has sure become ubiquitous in a very short while. It's everywhere!

I like this idea, but I would want an alternative way to start my car in case I lost or forgot my iPhone.

Iphone's are evrywhere. It will go down as one of the greatest ad campaigns, and coolest advances in cell phone design, in history. And this idea of putting it center stage as part of the auto's command center, has legs!

I agree, are there more pics of the concept car?
