Barack Obama - Word Association Gone Wrong

Regular contributer Hugh Atkin from Down Under makes videos, some of which are comedic spoofs featuring the U.S. presidential candidates, and posts them on YouTube. Says Hugh in an email the other day:

“I’d taken a bit of a break from election videos, but if you’re interested, I’ve just posted a mock interview with Barack Obama based on the word association game he played on Fox News. I hope you like it.

Best regards,

Hugh Atkin”

In this spoof, Obama struggles with the concept of word association. I found it pretty funny. See what you think.

Here are a couple more of Hugh’s videos I particularly enjoyed: “What Voters Want Is…” and “Clinton and Cruise - On the Campaign Trail

I like it! Same with the others, especially the Clinton-Cruise edit. Always fun to watch. I hope he does more!

Mr. Atkin has a knack for humorous video mashups. I hope he is making $$ with his talent.

Don't you just love Barack's facial expressions? They are out-of-context here, but you can read when he isn't sure if his response has pleased the interviewer, and see his relief when he thinks he has. Much like a child, I think. I didn't see the original Fox piece but will look for it to compare. Your friend did a great job!

I love Obama and think he will fix America's problems. I can't wait to see him end the war and bring home our troops. Too much blood has been shed and for what? Oil? Corporate greed? You can make fun of him here, but when you need national health care you will thank Obama for it!

OGMAB! Obama is an inexperienced lawyer and even more inexperienced senator who has no business in this arena. He is there as a puppet of the national media and if elected will take direction from fellow Marxists in Congress. What a disappointment that the best the dems could enter in the race were Clinton and Obama.

That is funny Doug! Your man Hugh has a highly marketable skill. I haven't any idea how one would go about making money at this but I suspect he has found his calling.

Atkins does another super mashup. The facial expressions are priceless! Is that him doing the interview?

Let's face it, I don't think the American people would have selected either candidate from the pool of possible contenders, many more qualified. But it is the way the system works.

Candidates are selected FOR us by special interests including the msm and political parties based on what they might provide those interests. We get to choose between the tainted choices, not based on what is good for us, but in an effort to mitigate the damage that either will wreak upon us and the Republic.

To be frank, we might as well let the two parties simply draw straws to select one or the other and give up on the illusion that WE are choosing the candidate of OUR choice. We would save a lot of time and money and have the same result.

Aren't you being overly cynical Uno? We all get a vote in during primaries to pick our candidate. Or don't you vote?

It doesn't matter which side your bread is buttered on, these are pretty funny!

Of course I vote. I just recognize what powers I have and don't have in the system and I refuse to be an obedient sheep following behind the other sheep and chanting how we are picking our candidates.

Even now the msm is trying its best to influence voters that Obama is "the man", that he is winning, that McCain is old and feeble -- and giving Obama about 3-4 times more press coverage. The msm goal is to influence the sheep to vote for Obama like the "smart" sheep are doing. It's bs and the sheep don't even realize they are being manipulated.

Cynical? Guilty. You should be too. If enough sheep leave the heard and start asking questions and thinking for themselves instead of waiting for their party to tell them who to vote for, maybe we can restore the concept of "government OF the people, BY the people and FOR the people".

Well said!

Izzy: "...Is that him doing the interview?"

No, that's Monte, a friend. They shot in front of some blue cardboard (as an inexpensive bluescreen) in Hugh's bedroom. Just shows what can be done with a little ingenuity.

Hook: "...I haven't any idea how one would go about making money at this but I suspect he has found his calling."

Actually, he finished law school (University of Sydney) at the end of last year. Don't know whether he's passed the Bar yet, but I'm hoping for more videos for a while.
