Governor Rod Blagojevich and Rahm Emanuel Chat It Up

I don’t know how long this podcast will stay up, but Sacramento morning drive talk radio personalities Armstrong and Getty offered a hilarious take yesterday on what is apparently the transcript of a taped telephone conversation between Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich and Barack Obama’s newly appointed chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel.

Jump ahead to about half way through the podcast. Like I said, it’s hilarious!

They are all on the take, all the politicians and cops and city officials on down. The most corrupt city in America and it has always been that way and always will be.

Chicago is a great city, and this putz isn't a fair example of the people there which are some of the nicest in the country. It is just a shame that we have so many crooked politicians.

I agree, it is a wonderful city to visit, great architecture, history, arts and friendly people. But somehow it has a history of corrupt politicians and they seem to breed new ones, so you never can clean it up. It is like watching the Goodfellows movie only their headquarters is the Capitol and its tentacles extend into all parts of government. Once criminals get into power in government, you can't get them out. Our federal system is becoming the same way and there is no way to clean it up once it reaches a certain point of saturation.

These guys are funny. I will save their broadcasts off the net (I live in Denver) and then watch them on my iMac or stream them to the plasma in my living room. They are really funny guys!
